Ohio Country Cabin Wedding

Greetings,

It’s been a while since my last post and I apologize for that. The holiday season always keeps me busy. Congrats to Melissa and Jacob for their fantastic Ohio country cabin wedding. They had a beautiful day for their December 28th wedding. Melissa was really hoping for some snow but that was not to be. The second best thing should could have hoped for was an unseasonably warm day and that is what she got. We were able to get some great outdoor photos without everyone freezing!

The day started with me arriving at the Secluded Cabins where the ceremony was to be held. I immediately met the groom (Jacob) and it was obvious that he was excited to get married. He welcomed me like an old friend and he showed me around the area. The property was wonderful and I knew I would have no problem getting a ton of great shots throughout the day. After getting a lot of photos of the decorations and details, I headed down the street to the cabin where the girls where getting ready. After Melissa was ready to go, we made our way to the grooms cabin where we photographed the first look moment with Melissa and Jacob. Shortly after that we went back to the wedding ceremony area where I took a lot of candid photos of the guests being greeted by Jacob and his groomsmen.

The ceremony started and went perfectly. Melissa and Jacob said their vows, had their first kiss and headed down the aisle where they went outside to meet back up with the bridal party. The owners of the cabins made Melissa’s day by bringing all of their cows out so they could roam the fields while we took all the outdoors photos. The sun was also setting while we were shooting so the lighting was perfect. I could have taken photos out in that field all day!

After the outdoor photos were complete, everyone was introduced to start the reception. The rest of the night went very well as all the guests mingled, drank, danced and had a blast. I’m so happy to have been a part of Melissa and Jacob’s big day and this was just another reminder of why I love what I do. I hope you enjoy the photos below.
